Conyers Dill & Pearman (“Conyers”) is pleased to announce that it has been named Club Person of the Year by the Bermuda Bicycle Association, the national governing body of cycle racing in Bermuda, in recognition of its continued support of cycling in Bermuda.
Conyers was the only organization recognized with an award at the sold-out Annual Awards Dinner, which took place on November 16th and was attended by Olympic Gold Medallist and professional road bicycle racer Tyler Hamilton.
The firm has been actively involved in cycling in Bermuda for many years, and boasts among its ranks former Olympic cyclist Elliot Hubbard. In September of this year, Conyers hosted the 14thAnnual Bermuda Grand Prix, which saw local cyclists compete with international cyclists who flock to the island for this event.
Conyers’ ethos of nurturing local talent to compete on a global stage closely matches that of the Bermuda Bicycle Association, which has been focused on developing talent to represent Bermuda in cycling both locally and internationally since its establishment in 1974.
“We would like to thank the Bermuda Bicycle Association for this honour. We are very proud that the association has chosen to recognise our continued support of cycling in Bermuda. We continue to be dedicated to supporting worthy local causes, both sporting and otherwise, throughout the community,” said Ross Webber, Head of Marketing for Conyers.
In addition to its involvement in cycling, the firm is also actively involved in local cricket, rugby, and football.
