Conyers Supports Earth Day Clean-Up

May 2009 Updated on 25 March 2010

Cayman Islands law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman staff members supported both the Earth Day Clean Up and the Earth Day Walk held last month.

Staff members joined the throngs of walkers from the National Trust office early Sunday morning in support of the Earth Day events.

Conyers has a regular team of walkers who enjoy supporting community events and were happy to include the Earth Week 5k Walk/Run as one of those. Along with the walk, a team of Conyers staff members joined various groups on the island in support of the island clean-up held early Saturday morning.

Amongst many garbage items found, one team came across an abandoned refrigerator, a full set of lawn furniture and a bed, not to mention various pieces of plastic and metal junk.

Attorney at the firm Barbara Padega said: "We were all exhausted afterwards but it was worth it: everyone got together and made a difference."

The Conyers Community programme, the firm said, is happy to support such a worthwhile cause and as always the staff have participated with their usual level of keenness and enthusiasm.
