Conyers Recognised as Band 1 by Chambers & Partners

February 2018

Chambers & Partners has released their Global rankings for 2018. Conyers has been recognised as Band 1 in the Offshore Global-wide category.

2017 remained an active year for the Firm globally. We advised on several innovative deals and high-profile cases, including:

  • Ziraat Bank’s long-running dispute against Cukurova Telecom, now valued at over US$1.5 billion;
  • Ronshine China Holdings’ HK$1.81 billion IPO; and
  • Barcardi’s 2.75% notes offering, due 2026, the aggregate principal amount of which was US$500 million.

Christian Luthi, Director and Chairman, said: “These rankings confirm Conyers’ position as a leading international law firm, with an impressive depth of talent. We are proud of the accomplishments of our lawyers across the Firm. The acknowledged strength of our global practice means we are well-positioned to provide the highest quality of service to our clients worldwide”.

Chambers comments that Conyers “continues to be noted as an outstanding choice for transactional and contentious matters” and is “regularly mandated on high-value IPOs and debt capital markets issuances”. Sources praise the "depth of knowledge [we] demonstrate in dealing with commercial and trust litigation". Our lawyers are praised as “technically very good” with “a City attitude towards executing deals”. Clients also value the Firm's well-established offices in London, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Chambers & Partners has been ranking lawyers since 1990.
