At the recent Asian-MENA Counsel awards ceremony, Conyers received a Deal of the Year award for the Privatization of Giant Interactive Group Inc.
Conyers provided Cayman law advice to Giant Interactive Group Inc. (the “Company”) on its US$3 billion privatization by way of merger with Giant Merger Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Giant Investment Limited. The Company is a leading online game developer and operator in China in terms of market share, with a focus on massively multi-player online role playing games.
Christopher Bickley, Conyers’ Head of Office for Hong Kong and Rowan Wu advised on the matter. Mr. Bickley said “This deal has garnered much attention due to its diversity and complexity. We are delighted to receive the award and thank the Asian-MENA Counsel for their recognition”.
