Conyers Dill & Pearman Partner Alec Anderson, the firm’s Global Head of Trust & Private Client, has been selected as one of the 50 most influential advisors in the Private Client Profession by Private Client Practitioner Magazine.
The list includes leading private client advisors from England, the Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories, who have been nominated by peers across the legal, banking and accounting sectors for quality of service and innovation in the field of wealth management.
Alec is widely recognised for his integrity, commitment to the profession and experience as a trust and estate lawyer. He led the team acting for the trustees in a high profile divorce case involving implications against a family trust and acts as a legal advisor on private client and offshore trust law to several international families and to well established US and London based law firms. His client base ranges from, among others, South Africa, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Mexico, Columbia, France, UK, Canada and the United States.

Alec has been a Partner at Conyers since 1991 and oversees a legal team spanning the firm’s London, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda offices. Alec is a frequent speaker at international private client conferences and regularly contributes to legal and trade publications. He is the first offshore lawyer to be elected to The American College of Trust & Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a professional association which works to improve and reform probate, trusts and tax laws, and he is also a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law. Alec acted as Chairman of the Bermuda International Business Association’s (BIBA) Trust Law Committee for over 10 years and currently heads BIBA’s Bermuda Trust Law Reform Committee.
