Fawaz Elmalki, a director in Conyers Dill & Pearman’s Dubai office, has been named to the MENA Fund Manager Service Provider Power 30 list for the third consecutive year. The list, which provides a breakdown of the most influential service providers in the region’s funds industry, was released in the May 2014 edition of MENA FM.
Fawaz specialises in advising on investment funds, with an emphasis on private equity, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds and shariah-compliant funds. He also has broad corporate finance experience, including expertise in joint ventures and the offshore structuring of Islamic finance products. MENA FM called him a “trusted advisor to many in the region.”
“Conyers is, and always has been, committed to servicing the region’s funds clients, providing an innovative and solution-driven approach to legal issues,” Mr. Emalki said. “I am delighted to be listed amongst a group of service providers who are also dedicated to shaping the MENA funds industry.”
The MENA FM Fund Services Power 30 is compiled annually from personal nominations from industry professionals. Earlier this year, MENA FM named Conyers the Best Offshore Law Firm at its annual Fund Services Awards.
Conyers advises on the laws of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Mauritius, and has one of the leading offshore legal practices in the MENA region.
