Conyers Employee Donates to Big Brothers Big Sisters

May 2010

Conyers Dill & Pearman is pleased to announce the donation of CI$1,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cayman Islands by Patsy Legiersky, Conyers’ most recent Employee of the Quarter.

Patsy is an Executive Legal Secretary for Conyers and was selected as Employee of the Quarter because of her exceptional attendance record, her ability to work with new systems efficiently and work as a team player. She selected BBBS due to the excellence of its service to children throughout Grand Cayman by providing mentors to those in need of extra time and attention from a caring adult. As a non-profit organisation, BBBS relies on donations and Conyers is pleased to support it.

Charmaine Moss, Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters stated: “We were extremely pleased to hear of Patsy’s decision to donate these funds to us. Unlike other groups, Big Brothers Big Sisters does not have a wide membership base to support it through dues and the like so we rely solely on fund-raising efforts and the philanthropy of corporations and individuals. Everything we collect benefits the children in our programmes as the donations keep us operational.”

Keisha Syms, HR Manager of Conyers’ Cayman Islands office, said: “Patsy has shown an exceptional level of commitment and team participation in her work at Conyers. We congratulate her for being named Employee of the Quarter. She is truly deserving of this award.”

Conyers is actively involved in a number of local charities, educational programs and other worthwhile causes through the Conyers Community Program.
