Conyers Dill & Pearman helps Cayman Islands Sailing Club

July 2006

Conyers Dill & Pearman, the offshore law firm, recently made a significant donation to the Cayman Islands Sailing Club. The donation was in respect of the rebuilding of the Byte fleet which was partially destroyed by Hurricane Ivan.

Richard Finlay, Partner of and Head of the Cayman Islands Office presented a cheque to Mike Weber, Director of Sailing for the Cayman Islands Sailing Club.

Mr. Finlay commented “We are proud to be a vital part of the CISC’s “learn-to-sail” and race programmes for junior sailors. We feel it is very important for the youth of the Cayman Islands to have the opportunity to access the resources and expertise needed to learn to sail.”

Mr. Finlay continued “All of us at Conyers Dill & Pearman understand that sailing is important in each of our firm’s jurisdictions and I am particularly pleased that we can make this contribution to facilitate the sport here in Cayman.”

"I enjoy working with them - they are very dependable, reliable and responsive."
