Conyers Continues Hiring Spree

Multi-jurisdictional law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman has made a fresh round of hires to its corporate team with the addition of associates Tara Rivers in the Cayman Islands and Claire McConway, Robert Alexander and Victor Richards in Bermuda. The firm has also hired Michael Swain as Head of Codan Management Ltd in Bermuda and Jacqueline Shannon as Manager for Codan International Limited in Dubai.

Tara Rivers specialises in investment funds, securitisation and structured finance matters. Prior to joining Conyers, Tara was an associate in Allen & Overy's London office, where she worked in the international capital markets team. Tara holds and LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Toronto, and is admitted to practise in the Cayman Islands, Canada and New York.

Claire McConway's practice includes public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investment, corporate finance, securities offerings, investment funds and the corporate aspects of Islamic Finance. Claire joins Conyers from the London office of King & Spalding LLP and holds an LLB in Law and French from Trinity College in Dublin.

Robert Alexander joins the firm's Bermuda practice from Lovells LLP, where he was an associate in the Corporate Tax department. Robert is admitted as a solicitor in the United Kingdom and completed the Common Professional Examination and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law.

Victor Richards joins Conyers from Reed Smith LLP in London. He completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law and obtained an MA in Legal Studies from the University of Bristol, England.

Michael Swain was previously Chief Financial Officer of Novus Management Ltd, a Financial Management & Consultancy, where he was responsible for company formations and management of insurance and reinsurance contracts and transactions. Michael is a Chartered Accountant and was admitted as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 1986.
