Conyers Announces Double Hire

November 2011

Conyers Dill & Pearman is pleased to announce the double hire of Russian lawyer Yuri Kashkin in its Moscow office and litigation lawyer Ben Hart in its Cayman Islands office this month, as the firm continues to grow its global practices.

Yuri specialises in corporate and commercial work, including banking and finance, and regularly advises banks, public and private companies. Yuri joins Conyers from the Moscow office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a corporate associate, and has also worked in the corporate team of Baker & McKenzie in Moscow.

Ben specialises in Cayman Islands litigation and restructuring, advising clients on commercial and contractual disputes, asset tracing and debt recovery, contentious and non-contentious insolvency, insurance, property litigation, employment and strata law. Ben brings a wealth of Cayman Islands experience and joins Conyers from Ogier. He has also worked at Campbells in Cayman and commercial law firm Bond Pearce in England.

John Collis, Chairman of Conyers, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Yuri and Ben to Conyers. Our Moscow office continues to grow and is perfectly positioned to advise major players in Moscow, who remain keen to raise capital on the world's markets using offshore structures. Likewise, our Cayman litigation practice continues to grow from strength to strength and we are pleased to service our increasing client base there.”

Conyers remains focused on recruiting top talent in each of its global offices, building on its reputation for providing the same high quality service no matter where clients are in the world. The firm expects to announce further hires in coming months.
