Conyers Dill & Pearman provided BVI law advice to Horizon Capital in connection with the initial public offering of Purcari Wineries PLC, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB Symbol: WINE). The IPO raised approximately US$50 million and the public listing represents a first by a Moldovan-based company.
Purcari Wineries PLC was established in 1827, and is the market leading wine producer in the Central and Eastern Europe region, with a tradition for supplying the royal courts in Europe. The group owns wineries in Romania and Moldova and is recognised as Moldova’s most prominent exporter.
Horizon Capital, a Ukrainian-based private equity and venture capital firm, is backed by over 40 institutional investors and has assets under management of over US$400 million.
