In May, the Youth Division of the BRFU travelled to the Cayman Islands for a weekend of rugby. Bermuda fielded teams in the Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 age groups to compete for the Conyers Youth Cup. Each group participated in round robin warm-up matches on the Saturday before competing in full international fixtures on Sunday. In the end, it was Bermuda who retained the Cup.
With a record of 3 wins and one loss, Bermuda was the clear winner and retained the Conyers Cup. However, most members of the large crowd in Cayman felt that the real winner of the day was rugby, with all teams playing a high standard of rugby which was exciting and entertaining to watch.
