  • Represented BVI-incorporated Dubai-based ride-sharing platform Careem Inc. on its VC and private equity funding, including its US$ 350 million fundraising from Rakuten, Inc. of Japan, Saudi Telecom Company and other investors;
  • Represented BVI-incorporated Dubai-based Propertyfinder on its US$ 20 million investment by Vostok New Ventures;
  • Represented Bermuda-incorporated Dubai-based e-payment platform Beam Wallet on its corporate structure;
  • Represented Adeptio Holdings in relation to Adeptio’s US$ 2.4 billion acquisition of Americana Group;
  • Represented Abu Dhabi Financial Group in relation to its investment in New Scotland Yard development in London;
  • Represented Investment Corporation of Dubai on its acquisition of the Atlantis resort on Palm Jumeirah from Dubai World;
  • Represented Omniyat Group on an investment fund structure to develop the luxury One Palm Jumeirah property;
  • Represented Kabir Mulchandani’s Skai Holdings on its joint venture to develop the Viceroy resort on Palm Jumeirah;
  • Represented DAMAC Properties on its listing on the Dubai Financial Market;
  • Represented the Government of Dubai on the US$ 25 billion restructuring of Dubai World and the spin-out of the real estate developer Nakheel;
  • Represented Duet Group on certain investments in the retail sector in Ghana;
  • Represented Adenium Capital on Cayman Islands aspects of its solar energy projects in Jordan and elsewhere;
  • Represented Asiacell on its IPO on the Iraq Stock Exchange -- the first IPO in post-war Iraq;
  • Advised the Dubai Economic Council on economic policy matters;
  • Represented Wataniya Mobile on the first ever international IPO by a Palestinian company;
  • Represented the Government of Dubai on the corporate structure of Dubai’s Salik toll road system;
  • Represented Apollo, Apax Partners, Madison Dearborn Capital Partners and Permira on their US$ 16.4 billion sale of the satellite operator Intelsat to BC Partners and Silver Lake; and
  • Represented Warburg Pincus on its US$ 1 billion PIPE investment in the bond insurer MBIA.
