The Cayman Islands continue to lead the way in the funds industry. Setting up funds in the Cayman Islands is simple due to a minimum of red-tape, service providers with a wealth of knowledge and experience, zero tax, and no prospectus publication or filing requirements. Although Cayman’s position of dominance in the hedge fund world has come under threat, Cayman continues to be the jurisdiction of choice for a large majority of global investors and managers. This article provides a brief outline of some advantages and requirements of marketing hedge funds in the Cayman Islands.
