Derelict houses and derelict duty in Bermuda

With the lack of affordable housing, much has been made recently about the number of derelict houses around Bermuda. No doubt the housing problem could be eased somewhat if these derelict properties were brought “back online” so to speak by refurbishing them (although whether they would be “affordable” after the fact is another matter).
