Conyers Expands in Cayman with Senior Hires

Multi-jurisdictional law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman is pleased to announce the addition of Sara Collins and Bernadette Carey as Attorneys-at-Law in its Cayman Islands practice, effective August 24, 2009.

Sara and Bernadette will focus on private and commercial trusts, contentious trusts and trust dispute resolution. Sara and Bernadette join Conyers from Maitland in the Cayman Islands.

Sara has over fifteen years of experience as an attorney in the Cayman Islands. She holds an LLB (Hons) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London and was awarded the University of London prize in Company Law. She was admitted as a barrister of England and Wales in 1994 (not practising), as an attorney in the Cayman Islands in 1996 and as an attorney in the British Virgin Islands in 2005.

Bernadette obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at the University of Waikato, New Zealand and completed her post-graduate studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Auckland, New Zealand. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand (2002), as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (2005) and as a Solicitor and Barrister of the High Court of Australia (2007). Bernadette was admitted as a Cayman Islands solicitor in 2008.
