Cayman Islands law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman (“Conyers”) today announced the hire of Elizabeth Denman, Callum Harper and Anton Goldstein as associates to the firm’s Corporate team. Elizabeth and Callum have joined the Bermuda practice and Anton has joined the firm’s British Virgin Islands (“BVI”) practice.

John Collis, Chairman of Conyers, commented: “The scope and breadth of Conyers’ reach has enabled it to remain strong and continue to grow organically even during these challenging economic times. We welcome Elizabeth, Callum and Anton to the firm as we continue to grow and position ourselves as leader in the market for offshore legal services.”

Elizabeth specialises in all aspects of corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on mutual and hedge funds, partnerships and securities. Prior to joining Conyers, Elizabeth was the leader of the Funds Group at Mello Jones & Martin for 8 years. Elizabeth received her LLB in 1994 from Queen's University in Canada. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996 and the Bermuda Bar in 2002.

Callum’s practice includes all aspects of corporate and commercial law with specialist expertise in structured finance and corporate finance transactions. Callum joins Conyers from the securities and structured finance department of Ashurst. Callum holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in December 2001.

Anton’s practice includes all aspects of corporate law with specialist expertise in private equity and hedge funds. Anton joins Conyers from the corporate department of Sullivan & Cromwell. Anton holds a Law degree from the University of Oxford and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in August 2005.

The growth of the Bermuda office complements Conyers’ continued growth globally. Last year, the firm opened new offices in Moscow, Mauritius and São Paulo and made several key hires. Today, Conyers comprises over 550 staff in 11 jurisdictions with more than 150 lawyers.
