Change in Procedure Regarding ICAO Article 83 Bis Transfer Agreement between Bermuda and Russia

On 10 February 2011, the Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation ("BDCA") advised that there would be a change in the procedure regarding how aircraft will be added to Schedule 1 of the ICAO Article 83 bis Transfer Agreement in place between Bermuda and the Russian Federation (the "Bermuda-Russia bis Agreement"). The Bermuda-Russia bis Agreement has been in place since 1998. There are now approximately 400 aircraft registered in the commercial category on the Bermuda Register of Aircraft operated by some 26 Russian operators.
