Alex Potts


Alex Potts is an associate in the litigation & restructuring department in the Bermuda Office of Conyers Dill & Pearman. Alex joined Conyers in 2007.

Alex has a wide-ranging commercial litigation and arbitration practice, with a particular focus on international and domestic disputes in the fields of insurance, reinsurance, professional negligence, banking, financial services, investment funds, conflicts of laws, commercial fraud, trusts, and contentious insolvency. He regularly appears in the Supreme Court of Bermuda and before other tribunals. Recent reported cases include Stewardship Credit Arbitrage Fund Limited and Phoenix Global et al v The Bank of Bermuda Limited et al.

Alex is regularly published and he is the author or co-author of Bermuda chapters in International Commercial Dispute Resolution (Tottel, 2009), Judicial Cooperation in Civil & Commercial Litigation in the British Offshore World (Wildy’s, 2009), Legal Aspects of the Financial Crisis (Globe Law & Business, 2009), and International Corporate Rescue (Chase Cambria, 2011).

Alex is also regularly invited to give presentations to audiences of lawyers and professional clients.
